I grew up in East Auckland & have been spray tanning for over 7 years. I also work full time in marketing, occasionally am on the radio, am a sucker for a coconut marg & addicted to MAFS (no spoilers).

I picked up this little side hustle while I was studying at university, dreaming of a way to ditch my part time retail job so I could enjoy my weekends rather than studying all week, just to spend all weekend working in the mall... For my 21st birthday party I got a spray tan, drove all the way into town & chitchatted to the girl about all things tanning. Long story short, I blew all my birthday money on spray tanning equipment & a professional course. Here I am at 28, tanned hundreds of clients, thousands of times & it is the coolest little subplot to my life.

My favourite part about tanning? THE GIRLS. Hands down. Each spray tan appointment is like a 15 minute scheduled hang out. I get to hear all about your day, your wedding prep, your besties birthday, holidays you're heading on, crappy moments in your week, dumb things your boyfriend did & epic things your kids are doing - it's the best.
